If you look at display properties in Win95 (I have OSR/2 so it may be slightly different) and you look at the Monster 3D settings tab it will show what the monster is set to for each resolution as far as refresh. This takes effect when the Monster is in operation. On the same tab it will show what Win95 thinks according to the monitor set-up that your monitor can handle. Your Monster probably won't come close to touching it. But as far as your Riva's refresh in the Windows 2D environment go to the settings tab in display properites and advanced properties. here you can set your refresh rate for your Riva. I have mine set to 90hz at 800x600 in 16-bit color. I can switch resolutions on the fly though. I have my Monster 3D set-up for 60hz at the 640x480 resolution and had no problems. now is the "problem" you're experiencing a fuzzy picture, and offsize screen in 3DFx or what? I had "problems" until I set up a couple of custom configs in my monitor itself (out of range modes).
