It's the 13th again... :((
Came home from work this morning and discovered that a power failure had
killed _two_ of my HDD's. :((
They are both of Quantum make, and are of model PD425S -ver 535A- and LP240S
-ver 6.4-.
It is the "controller" card that's dead, I guess. The drive can be sensed
during boot, but not accessed ("drive not ready" is the message I receive).
My questions are:
Does anyone have such cards available for sale?
Does anyone have such drives (pref mechanically damaged (a matter of price))
for sale?
Can such cards be repaired (at a reasonable price)?
What is Quantum Corp.'s e-mail and/or fax-number?
Any information will be greatly appreciated, as I have lots and lots of vital
data and programs on these drives (no backups I'm afraid...)
