I did. It wasn't the cable. This is a very
strange problem, though I've found a workable
workaround. If I boot the same exact setup
from the floppy it causes the driver to load
properly. For some reason, booting from the
HD causes a problem eventhough the CD is
separate on IDE 2, and I'm using the same exact
boot files.
This is the last time that I mix new hardware
with old. I should've known from past
experiences .... Oh well. ;(
