I asked my brother to get me a 'cheap' 387 chip in Bankok (ditch-386-get-Pentium-advice-politely ignored) and the saleslady sold him this chip a 4C87DLC-40. As nobody at work seem to know what is is I'm hoping 'the answer is out there -somewhere!' Other clues on the square chip : - on the pin side (on perimeter two rows of 9 pins each side, with inner rows forming a square) it has 'Philippines'. - on the top-side 'raised part' it has the IIT logo with the 4C87DLC-40 below. under this (on the 'base') it has the line 1002FA2F5HCOC followed by CGEA on another line and finally 9421 M(in a circle) C(opywright symbol) IIT 1988 Any help appreciated as well as possible value. Mike
