I have an IBM pc clone with 16MB of ram. Unfortunately the company I bought the computer from is no longer in business, so I can't get any details of the type of Ram which was installed in my machine. Is there any utilities I can download from the net which will investigate my ram and report its full details? Also, what is the consequence of having mismatched ram. Will the machine still work? What if my old ram is 70ns and I install a further 16MBs which has faster or slower specs? Finally, what happens if you mismatch parity ram with no-parity ram? Is EDO ram parity ram or is it something completely different? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Stephen Anderson Home: steveja@werple.net.au Work: anderson.stephen.sj@bhp.com.au
