I wish to replace my ISA MB with a VLB one. I currently have a 486SX 25
CPU and 8 megs or ram (eight 1Meg simms 80ns) I am looking at a two
step upgrade. In the first step I would like to get a VLB MB and VLB
video card and contrller card and in the second step I would like to
get a fast 486 (80 ,100, or 120 if avalible) and 4-8 megs more ram.

I see that several vendors sell motherboards which are called deep
green and some of the vendors list them as made by MTI. What I would
like to know is two things.

1) if I have 8megs of 1meg simms(30 pin) installed, can I add 72pin
memory also? in other words can I upgrade the memory on this board from
8 to 12 or 16 meg?

2) the CPU I have now is 5V can this motherboard also work with the 3
volt CPU such as the iDX4 100 or the AMD DX2 80? Is this just a jumper
switch?
