It has now occurred to me why CompUSA has security guards on the premises... It's not to stop shoplifters from leaving the store. It's not to harrass paying customers carrying bags full of merchandise. It's to STOP people who have complaints about their lack of reliability concerning mail-in rebates! I should go down there one day and DEMAND my money back! Has anyone ever successfully done this? Yes, do demand for your money back. It might just work. It did for me,
and got my money back. Well, not cash, but the Store Manager offered
me a gift certificate for the same amount of my rebate. Since I was going
to purchase something in the store anyway, I took it. Otherwise, I would
have demanded cash.
