Getting your CNE is easier, as far as passing the exams.  But more and
more new networks going in are NT.  There are, however, too many Netware
3.1x networks out there who want to stick with Netware, and are going to
upgrade to the newest flovors eventually.

I started out with a Netware background, but never got any
certifications.  I have been working with NT for about two years now,
and am almost through with my MCSE.  I find that I am doing far more NT
than Novell, although my company wants me to go back and get my CNE/ECNE
once I have finished the Microsoft stuff.

So my answer is: start with microsoft, get your cert., find a job, then
see if the company wants you to get Novell, or just get it anyway.  You
are far more marketable with no experience (ASU) as an MCSE than as a
CNE (dime a dozen).

Some may argue my points, but my comments are purely subjective.
