You're not going to see anything under $13/$14. 
The absolute lowest price I have seen is $15 for TDK brand tapes and I
don't know the quality.  See the below site for pricing.

Also recall that there is (or was 2 weeks ago) a shortage on DDS-2
tapes because only one plant makes the stuff for the tapes in the
world and there were some problems. The shortage (an article I saw
stated this) won't start easing up until Freb. and wouldn't be
completely gone until May/June.  That may have changed since I saw the
article.  If you can get your hands on the tapes, feel lucky!
