Snap. The only drives I've seen returned in the last year were JTS
[hack, hoik, ptooie - two were mine!] and ~6-Gig bigfeet.  Then again,
there were only two quantums returned. The one bad batch explanation
seems most likely, and every manufacturer has had those.

I've seen other Quantum drives treated worse than a microsoft
support-droid at a hackers conference that are running fine after four
years.
