I had no problems with the Quantums at all, UNTIL I got the 6.4Gb. After about 9 months, I started getting bad sectors on the drive. I eventually returned it and got something else, but apparently, the guy I bought it off said that a whole lot of 6.4Gb STs had been returned as well. Not sure whether it was an extremely bad batch or something, but just be warned. Julian
