G'day, I have a Gigabyte 586AT motherboard with Award BIOS, and a Quantum 3.2Gb EIDE (TM3200) drive connected as the master on the second controller. The setup utility shows that LBA is on, though the drive is shown as being 1102MB, not 3200 odd. When the system boots, the hardware summary shows CHS mode, not LBA mode, and operating systems (eg OS/2) seem to see it this way too; any partition created >504mb on the drive is not usable from OS/2 fdisk, for example. The other two drives (on the primary controller) both show as LBA correctly, and work that way. Any suggestions? Please email me in case I miss your reply. Peter ptle@campion.com.au
