Hi, hope someone can help me!

I'm running Msdos 6.2 as my operating system. I currently have two
hard disks installed. C is a 420 meg seagate and D is a Quantum 560
meg disk. I formatted D a while a go and got 504 meg out of the disk
from the format. I am now running short of disk space and need to know
if and how I can partition the disk into a rough 500 meg drive and a
60 meg drive, thus using all the available space that the drive
offers. I've tried just deleteing the primary partition on D and
making a primary and extended partition using fdisk but it only
accepts that the drive has 504 meg available on it. I know Dos can't
handle anything above 500 meg, that's why I wanted to make the disk
two drives. But how? Can I alter the settings for it in the bios or
what?

I would be grateful to anyone who can help and even more so if you
could reply to this directly by email so I more easily see if I have
recieved an answer or not. This message was cross posted to quite a
few newsgroups you see!!!!

Thanks!

Dominic

Computers do not come with footpedals, that is the mouse.
Nor does a mouse have a dust cover, that is the packaging.
Make sure when you print writing onto a floppy disk label,
that it is not stuck on the disk at the time.
The keyboard does not have an "any" key, it is a generic
term for any key that is on the keyboard.
If a document won't print, switch on the printer!!!!
