An Adaptec 1545pci scsi card is a $269 option from them! The onboard Adaptec chip is only $49. I don't know how much they would charge for a card. I don't see any reason why you would have to send back the system (unless they would return all of your money and you could buy a decent computer) just to put in the chip. The socket is already on the motherboard. >I was even approved for a new motherboard on 12-13, but since the first >tech fu##ed up the paper work (they didn't call me about it) I called to >check on the status and that's when the say it was not complete, then the >second tech screwed it up, then the cust service person said that they >would have it taken care right away, then I called back to see where it >was, and they said 10 days to 2 weeks. Needles to say I was very pissed >about it and threatened to not place the order for 25 more p90's with my >sales contact, I just got the MB today (not within 24hours, within 48). How did you manage to get approved for a new motherboard? I almost returned my system when I say the daughter-board hack that was stuck onto my new Pantera 90 system. I called them many times, and was even polite and rational for about the first 20 calls, and I had no luck. I should have taken advantage of the 30-day return/refund offer and bought another system back then. John "Don't buy a Zeos" Watson Ericsson, Inc.
