Hi all,

Okay, now I'm getting angry. On 1/30/94 I ordered a 486dx-33 (with
several customizations). The salesman promised me delivery on
2/7/94. Well, on 2/4/94, I called to confirm shipping and found that
the unit hadn't shipped because Zeos was backordered on the hard drive.
(a WD caviar 340Mb) *But*, the shipment was due in that day and I would
have my unit by tomorrow, 2/11/94. Okay, I thought, no problem.

Bzzzt. Wrong. I called again today to confirm that the 486 had
shipped yesterday for the Friday delivery, only to find out my sales
droid has gone on vacation. (Ok, he's allowed a vacation, but why now?)
Instead I got a generic droid who told me that, not only was Zeos still
awaiting the HD delivery, but that they were also backordered on the
tape drive I had requested! Now we're up to 2 parts delayed, and I have
no idea when I'll receive my new computer. At least the generic droid
didn't try to scam me with yet another Promised-Delivery-Date that can't
-be-Kept(tm).

Who the devil does their stock ordering? The guy needs a lesson on
predicting inventory needs. I can understand that having a bad Winter
is screwing up their supply deliveries, but why make a promise to
a customer that can't be kept?? All that does is cause hard feelings
and anger (like now). I had planned to take tomorrow off from work
to be home to set-up the machine. If I hadn't called first, I would
have wasted 8 hours of paid leave! Couldn't someone from Zeos call
or e-mail customers to let them know of delays?

I tell you, I like Zeos machines *BUT*, one more significant delay
and I'll start seriously considering cancelling my order.
