I have a Samsung 17" monitor attached to a generic ET4000 controller card
running X11 on top of ISC Unix. For the price, about $800, the monitor is
a major bargain. It runs 1Kx768 non-interlaced and the picture is good.

PC Week (or maybe Infoworld) gave these monitors a terrible review saying
that the picture quality was bad. I haven't had any such problems, but it
does suggest that you should look at the screen before you buy it.
