I recently bought one VLB with Cyrix 486sx 49 mhz CPU wiht 256k external cashe
for $239.00.

I doubted the ads but after careful test of that MB, I decided to post
the result here so that anyone can spend money for good buy.

First the CPU was Cyrix 486sx at 40 mhz and it has a heat sing on the
CPU.
The mother board can be set up the clock up to 50 mhz using 3 jumpers.
I tried to overclok from 40 mhz to 50 mhz cooling it with an extra fan to
prevent it from buring. The fan does its jobe very excellently and the
temperature of CPU won't be even warm on my finger.

Norton Utility ver 5.0 shows;
CPU benchmark: 84.6 running at 57Mhz (after overclokcing at 50mhz)
   ( Ref. 76.4 for intel 486dx 33)

Checkit Bechmark
  CPU 21540 Dhrystibes
  Math 220 Whetstones.

Fro Sx does not have copro, I ftped q386.exe form wuarchive.wustl.edu
under mirrors/msdos/mathcopr. q387 increased the math speed fourtimes
faster than without coprocessor. (It is amazing!!!. this emulator
accelerates the floating calculation.)

AFter q387 was loaded in extended memory, Checkit benchtest tells
math speed was 790 whetsones.(about 3.5 time speed increase).

Thus I could get an very fast MB for only $239.00 and I think I did
wise buy.

For your information, I post the original posting.

P.S. I have nothing to do with this vendor and have never met this salesman
before. I thought the deal was so good and it is good to share my experience
with netters who are looking for a good MB for small money.
If this annoyes you, I feel sorry.
