Networked games?

At ftp.ulowell.edu under msdos/Games/Misc I have found nspace13.zip
which is a space game where up to 8 players can be networked together
to play at the same time, against each other, in an outerspace shoot-em-up
duel, over an ethernet connection. This looks like an awesome game,
although I haven't been able to get it to work for my particular
ethernet card (my config.tel file for NCSA Telnet says the hardware=packet,
which is the most general and least reliable connection for the game.)

My question is, Has anyone seen any other games which can network people
together to play at the same time? I'm looking for something that works
over ethernet connections, hopefully something 'arcade style' (ie, no
text adventures) and definitely no MUD's.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
