From reading the above information, I became to realize that mys
system was a little bit faster than you guys.  I'm running the
no-brand EIDE card on a VL-slot (The driver itself named  VG4  using
the Promise chip with the Conner 850A and get only 1.3MB/s with no
drivers and 3MB/s with driver loaded.

Is this sound okay?
