AMD 333 vs. Intel P300 - comments please

I'm looking into buying a new motherboard/CPU for my system.

These are the two upgrades I'm looking at.  I would like to play games like 
Quake 2, Unreal... 3d type games.  What big differences, if any, would I have 
between these two set ups?  Frame rate, etc...

AMD K6 333 3D Now, 100 mhz board, 64 meg DIMM, Diamond Monster 3D 2 w/ 12meg

vs.

Intel PII 300 MMX, 100 mhz board, 64 meg, Diamond Monster 3D 2 w/12 meg


Difference in price is around $200...
