 I've only got one more guess.. do you have to reconfigure the token ring stuff
like the submasks, etc (via 'devices' command i think)
 Maybe try getting the machine to boot 'clean' w/o starting tcpip, etc.. then
manually start tcpip and see if you get any error messages.  Also clean out the
error log first, then look at it (errpt -a) after the failures - is anything
logged? 
 I'm guessing, and i don't have an rt anymore.. so your mileage may vary..
