I use ctctrl.exe and tar.exe with a 60 meg Viper and an Adaptec 1522 for the same purposes, namely moving files back and forth from my workstation at work to my PC at home. The only annoyance I've had with it is that setting the TAPEID environment variable in config.sys to any other SCSI id other than 2 has no effect. This is because the C function used to read the variable gets it from the local environment, not the master. I'd really like to be able to assign an address other than 2 to my tape drive. Does anyone have a makefile for TurboC 2.0, or any other solution? Thanks, Alan Holbrook holbrook@apollo.hp.com No .sig, I just post on impulse.
