Hi. A friend bought a 486-33 PC and in the middle of messing around with it, he set the wait state value in CMOS to 2 (AMI BIOS). Then the diagnostics programs reported that the CPU was running like a 12-MHz 286! Does anyone know why there can be such a big difference in CPU speed when wait state is introduced? Can someone explain? Cheers, Bugs
