   We're currently using Word 5.0a (i.e. Word 5.0 updated with the 5.0a
patcher). Is there an update available to bring our version up to
Word 5.1? I've heard about the 5.1a patcher, but this seems to require
   Word 5.1 to work on.

   Thanks in advance ...

You have to buy 5.1. You can get it for around $20 if you're a
registered user of 5.0. In fact, if you supplied your address on your
registration card for 5.0, MS will send you an upgrade coupon. I got
one, and received 5.1 within two weeks of sending in the check....
