I haven't used DesignCAD but I have used MiniCAD 3+ and can vouch for
its general coolness. I went through the tutorial with no problems
and had a lot of fun learning to use its features. I am not an
engineer or an architect, and am principally interested in its
3D applications, but I have seen ClarisCAD demonstrated by a pro,
and MiniCAD seemed to run rings around ClarisCAD.
