Spooling to HP Deskwriter under System 7

I have recently switched to System 7 and need spooling
advice. I had used SuperLaserSpool but my version
does not run under 7. I would have thought that a
spooler is unnecessary. Is it? Do I need to purchase
one or is there shareware available?
