Hello

I am looking  for a word processor that handles graphics and text the way I want
to use them. This is what I would like to do:

Suppose I have a stream of paragraphs labelled A thru J. I want to refer to a 
graphic in paragraph A, let's call it Figure 1. I would like the figure to 
appear in the document following the paragraph it is referenced in, i.e. A.

Thus the flow would look like A, Figure 1, B, C, etc. Now if there is not enough
room on the page where paragraph A appears, then I want the figure to be on the 
next page. However, the stream text should not be disrupted ( no large white
space blocked out because of the figure.)

I would like the word to be smart enough to do this with my having to move the
graphic and placing it.

I currently use Wordperfect 2.1, and it can not do what I just described.

Can anyone suggest a way to do what I want?
