Better be careful which version you are getting. The $19.95 might be
1.0.something, rather than the current 2.0, which would cost you
another $20 or so (I don't remember exactly how much).

AutoDoubler 2.0 is a great improvement, for three reasons:

1. It seems to be more compatible overall. I'm not sure why, but two
freeware games I have started to work better when I upgraded. (Work
better, in this case, means that the high score list started working
again. It is saved within the application, which may indicate where
the problem was.)

2. It includes the Autodoubler Internal Compressor application, which
allows resource (as opposed to file) level compression. This has
noticeably increased to speed that some (previously uncompressed)
applications open on my computer. Your mileage may vary, depending on
the speed of your processor and the speed of your hard disk, and the
application itself.

3. It includes CopyDoubler, which speeds disk copying, allows control
of whether compressed items are expanded, and makes your trash empty
faster (and gives the option of overwriting deleted files, to make
sure they stay deleted).
