The MYM documentation is, IMHO, very clear and practical tutorial. It
does, however, get a little chummy in places, so it can be irritating
when you just want to look something up. The answer to your first
question, BTW, is to treat the existing loan as a new loan with the
remaining principal as the loan amount. For example, if you pay
monthly and your next payment (the first one you want to record) is
due on Feb 15, then treat it as a new loan taken out on Jan 15 in the
amount of the principal remaining on Jan 15.

Yes, MYM does this. It also has a separate tool that will generate
your complete ammortization schedule. It will send the output to
either screen, file, or printer. This tool, incidently, could be very
useful for figuring out (in the above example) what your principal was
on Jan 15.
