Hi: I'm using my Quadra 700 to backup Macs in my groups at night. Using the calendar, I can get their Macs to shut down, but not mine. Am I missing something in this manual (I swear I've been all through it). I've gotten it to the point where it will quit the app but not shut my Mac down. I don't know if it will hurt the HD to have it on constantly or not, but I am not really comfortable leaving it on constantly. Failing a Retrospect solution to this, does anyone know of some useful application that will autoshut down a macine at a specified time?
