How to lock the System folder??

Is there a way to lock the system folder to keep people from changing/modifying
things they shouldn't be. (Like, say, adding fonts or changing cdevs).

I looked in the FAQ list but besides making the system folder invisible (which
is a good idea) it didn't say anything.

Please email me as our news feeds are a bit random... I'll post a summary.

Marc.
