Be aware that if you put an unlocked System 6.x disk (the same apparently applies to pre-6 Systems also) to a mac running System 8 or greater, this "unblesses" the System 6.x disk making it unbootable. You can rebless it by booting to System 6.x or 7.x and opening & closing the unblessed System Folder - the blessed System Folder should now have the System icon on it. ...so have at least two _locked_ bootable System disks or .image files in a safe place!
