We are evaluating mail programs that allow Macs and UNIX workstations to talk with eachother. We're looking at QuickMail, CC:Mail (from Lotus), and Microsoft Mail. We have a mixture of Sys 6.x and Sys 7.x on the Mac LAN. We're using a GatorBox gateway between UNIX and Macland. Any comments (pro, con, otherwise)? We need to have (beyond UNIX<->Mac connections), good remote access for PowerBooks and Macs, good startup speed, runs reasonably well on an SE/30 5/105, and good integration with Word and Excel (ie. not a real pain to attach Word/Excel docs). My users aren't Mac or computer wizards and don't want to be, so the mailer has to be reasonably intuitive. It'd also be nice if it's robust and doesn't cost a fortune! ;-) Thanks, -Job- -- Job Rabinowitz Phone: [USA] 1+(503)690-1236 Adaptive Solutions, Inc.
