I just bought a copy of Omnipage Pro (optical character recognition) for my
MacII (8mB). It immediately crashes with an 'unimplemented trap' message.
The manual says the cure for this 'feature' is to turn on virtual memory
in the Memory CDEV, which any MacII user will immediately know is not there.
I remember Connectix released a free doodad a year or so ago to Apple that
provided, as I recall, software-supported virtual memory on MacIIs. Apple
released the software for free.
I'm virtually certain I saved the software on an archive, but cannot for the
life of me remember the name. Can you provide the name or recommend a site
I can download a copy from?
