Hi; I would like to thank everyone who answered my question as to why, when printing from Word 5.0a using the DeskWriter 3.1 driver, I was getting a not enough memory for HP fonts message. The solution is to not use the HP fonts since the printer will use TrueType fonts just as well. So I trashed the HP font folder and also installed an Init that clears up some problem Word has with TrueType. The result of all this is that It prints just fine. Well, two weeks after buying my first MAC (a Classic II) I can clearly state that dumping my 386SX for a MAC was a VERY good decision. A happy camper am I! About the only thing that could be better is to add one of those full-page monitors that plug into the SCSI port. Do they slow the machine down? What is a good make? Some may say that the low end machines are crippled. But for some of us they are just what we need. Until the Classics came out I could not afford a MAC. For what I do the Classic II is fast enough. For the rest there is always the Quadra.
