I have used Times Two and it does work, but there are a few problems. By using its driver
it does double the capacity of a drive but it slows down the writing. On my
Apple internal 40MB
(Quantum), which is no hot rod to begin with, the FWB index went down from 2.1
to 1.3. Times Two will give capacity at the expense of speed. It will install
onto a drive-in-use but if you have any locked files, it WILL trash your disk.
The manual points this out and they are not whistling Dixie!!. Backup first
and then let Times Two "reformat" the drive! Other problems are that it will
not work with DataFrame drives abd will not automount Syquest carts. It does
work but you will have to consider the problems.
Good Luck
Wayne
