I'm thinking of giving my girlfriend and her mom a spreadsheet program
for their small business. As I understand it, the contenders are
Microsoft Excel and Lotus 1-2-3. Are there others I should consider?

Which has the most "Mac-like" interface? These women aren't power
users, but they could be in the future. Would something like
Microsoft Works or Claris Works be a all-around better deal?
(Microsoft Word and Excel are available as a package for what seems
like a reasonable price.)

Thanks,
