I want to keep better track of people I call, addresses, etc. with contact
manager-type software, but don't want to spend a fortune. Some of the
programs for doing this, e.g., ACT! cost $249 or more. Are these programs
worth the expense, and are there any cheaper alternatives that people
would recommend?

Doug.
