My housemate is suddenly moving to Windows NT, and expects to have a new
Power Mac 9600/300 available next week for sale.

For those not familiar with the model, is THE fastest and most powerful
computer Apple Computer manufactures, and eats the average Pentium II
system for lunch (with lots of room left over for a hearty dessert. ;)

The system is NEW in the Apple-sealed box, and has not been opened,
touched, or used.

The specs are quite impressive:

>M5901LL/A Power Macintosh 9600/300 w/PowerPC
> 64MB Hard Disk 4GB CPU, Iomega Zip drive,
> w/24XCD-ROM and 1MB cache
> Powered by PowerPC 604e/300MHz processor.
> Includes built-in built-in AAUI-15 and
> Twisted Pair (10Base-T) Ethernet,
> accelerated graphics card and 8MB VRAM.

The most recently posted prices for equivalents to this system on
misc.forsale.computers.mac-specific are $4,800 and $3,800.

Asking price is $3,300 (shipping and insurance included). We live in
Silicon Valley, and would prefer a local buyer. We'd even be glad to
arrange for a local buyer to pick it up personally, inspect it, run Apple
Personal Diagnostics (etc), or whatever pleases you. Of course, we'll
provide the receipt, warranty info, etc.

If you'd like to purchase it, please E-mail me at eli@aimnet.com.

(I am a former Apple employee [see the Mac OS 8 Appearance Settings' About Box],
and can provide contact information for multiple people to whom I've sold
my no-longer-needed equipment in the past 9 months who would gladly vouch
100% for my
integrity and honesty.)
