I have a IIsi and a PB-165 and they make a nice combination with the 33
MHz PB being a bit faster. Any of the PB-1XX series Macs except the 100
should be comparable to a IIsi but you might want to get one that'll drive
a regular monitor. Looking at the typical portable screen for hours can
get tiring. You might also want to hang on to a regular keyboard.

You can find the O30 powerbooks for $200 and under if you look, and a 170
just sold in Seattle for $75. If money is really tight, you can
occasionally find the heavy original Portable for virtually nothing. With
the backlite screen it isn't a bad machine though the power supply is too
weak to run it with a near dead battery.
