You've hit the nail on the head ("why doesn't Apple put EVERYTHING..."). Our
particular fear is that Apple will announce that Bedrock and/or new compilers
and the rumored new linker are part of a different development suite and will
be sold separately or will be distributed in a different ETO package requiring
a separate subscription.
 
Although we know Apple doesn't want to pre-announce products, a little
arithmetic indicates that the original and most loyal ETO subscribers either
have just had their subscriptions lapse (or renew) or are about to with #10. We
need some information from Apple on this. (Hello out there?) Many of us are
actually trying to work within budgets. If ETO will not bring us Bedrock, then
we at PSM are going to keep the cash aside either for a direct purchase of
Bedrock or for Component Workshop. Surely we aren't the only people trying to
make this choice?
