My top choice, dollar for dollar and pound for pound, among every 'generation' of PowerBooks has been an active matrix/gray-scale model, though I'd settle for passive matrix in a Duo. Color portable screens may be a favorite ego-boosting toy for corporate geeks who think their desktop presentations make the world go 'round, but it's just not necessary, or even that useful, for most purposes, and I'm certainly not going to pay $hundreds for it. Too bad Apple gives short shrift to the gray-scale PB's, even dropping the 5300 gray-scale. -- .delta. S
