My Duo 230 is now at "Warranty + 5 months" - 17 months old. Fortunately I do have AppleCare. I have a MiniDock - and the Duo gets docked/undocked every day, sometimes twice. In the last few days it has begun to play up. When docked it won't recognise that it is docked (wrong serial-ports, won't see external video), or in one horrid case, the external video had black lines down it every 16th (or so) pixel, indicating one of the data lines wasn't making it through the connector. So far, shutting down and carefully redocking has fixed these problems every time, but I think it is getting worse... My Duo Tech Manual claims the connectors are good for 5000 insertions, but it seems to be giving problems way short of this (like at about 500). Anyone else had their main connector "wear out"? Can/should they be cleaned perhaps?
