Hi all;

Iam triying to connect my PowerBoook 1400cs to a 486Dx2/66 via modems
direct.

On the PowerBook1400, Iam running system 7.5.5 and claris OfficeWorks
and on the 486Dx2/66, Iam running windows 3.x and Terminal.

The comms settings are for both;

Method: Serial Tool (Mac Setting only)

Baud Rate: 9600
Parity: None
Data Bits: 8
Stop Bits: 1
Handshake/flow contriol: Xon/Xoff

Now using the AT commands ATA and ATD, from what I have read should
work, but they do not.

What am I doing wrong, any help is welcomed and needed, thanks.

Regards :                David. E. Goble

I think you'll find this is the problem. *IF* the mac must use Xon/Xoff,
you'll need the tell it's modem to use it - probably ATQ3 added to the init
string.
