OK, let's be more precise:  Is this a fancy way of saying that you can
build a CFM-based application that links with CarbonLib and potentially
runs on OS versions 8.6 and up, or am I missing something here?

I don't blame them for not using the word "Carbon."  I blame them for
implying that this is a *new* feature of version 7.  Haven't I been
building these "single applications" with CW 5?  Doesn't Apple
distribute CarbonLib-based sample apps as CW 4 projects?
