[Bug?] PowerPlant Printing broken under Carbon

Has anyone managed to get printing in PowerPlant to work properly under Carbon? I am using CodeWarrior Pro 7 with all the latest patches. I have an application whose LDocument subclass has a DoPrint() method, and it prints as expected to my default printer. No problems there. (For the curious, my DoPrint method is using Session based printing since that is what LDocument uses). However, one of the great features of printing under Carbon is that you can select an alternative printer right in the Print Dialog box. If, in my application, I select a printer other than the default, printing ignores my selection and prints to the default printer anyway. This isn't correct behavior. I would love to confirm that what I am doing is right or wrong by looking at examples from Metrowerks. Sadly, the CodeWarrior CD contains no examples of printing from PowerPlant under Carbon (at least none I can find). Does anyone have any sample code that prints, under Carbon, from PowerPlant, and can actually use something other than the default printer? If so, are you willing to share? Or is this a bug in Carbon/PowerPlant and I should be reporting it to Metrowerks? Cliff -- Cliff McCollum cliffmcc@mac.com

Yes.

I can't easily share it, but I also don't know that I'm doing anything
special. (I'm definitely using session printing.)

There's an example project at: (CodeWarrior Examples):MacOS Examples:PowerPlant Examples:PP Book Code:Chap 14 Solution Code I cannot test it to see if it prints correctly when one selects another printer from the Print Dialog, because I don't have a printer. When I developed my own program, I tested it only with the Preview button. So when you test the above project to see if it prints correctly, I would appreciate if you get back to me and tell me what you find out. Gabriel

Solved the problem. What was wrong? Just call me a bonehead. Moral of the day: never start a Printing Session on the same PrintSpec more than once for a single print-job. The second session appeared to over-ride whatever values were placed in the PrintSpec by the first. Doh'! C.
