I have the same problem. My motherboard is a Silicon Start PK5.
The ET4000w32p is a Hercules Dynamite Power (D902). The original
disk controller was a Tekram D290N dual EIDE controller. I currently
have the Acculogic dual EIDE controller installed. Both disk controllers
use IRQ 15 for the secondary EIDE device. Windows 95 claims the
Hercules card wants IRQ 15 also. Here's what I've learned so far:

  1. Hercules support swears their card does not use IRQ 15. Given
a wonderful track record with them, I believe it.

  2. If I boot DOS with the Hercules drivers loaded and look at the
IRQ 15 vector with debug, it points to a RTI. This lends
     credibility to point #1.

  3. My PCI motherboard has three PCI slots. The bios by default is
set-up to automagically assign IRQs 9,10,11,12 to these slots
in the order given. IRQ 15 is not in the list of the pool of
     IRQs to assign to slots.

  4. DOS 6.22 and Win 3.11 worked just dandy with this configuration.
