You only need to do this once, of course.

>cp -p <yourpath/yourimage.tiff> nextlogin.tiff
This is probably better written as:
cp -p yourpath/yourimage.tiff nextlogin.tiff
so somebody doesn't try redirection.

Many people have said you kill the Windowserver by giving
'exit' as the login name and <return> as the password. This
isn't actually correct; exit<return> does it and there is no
associated password prompt.

No login panel will appear, which means you will next be
booting in single-user mode, fixing the error, and
continuing the boot.

Renaming it nextlogin.tiff, of course.

It's a funny thing. I spent really a *lot* of hours in my
various draw programs and in Icon, making these things, some
of which are fairly complex. After maybe a hundred of them
(75 since pitched out, perhaps), I finally felt a very
simple one would be best, for me. Since I have my
background set to black, many of the ones I made look best
on that and would not seem as mysterious or grand or
whatever on a grey background. Oh, that reminds me: they're
all monochrome, as I have no access to color (good thing,
too, because then hundreds, rather than tens, of hours would
have been consumed fiddling with those possibilities. It
was all therapeutic, I guess.
