How can I print using fonts not in my postscript printer?

I have a QMS 810.  My NeXT knows about it (it has an entry for it).
But if I try to print a document that uses a font not in the printer,
the printer uses Courier in place of the unknown font.  How do I tell
the system that it needs to download certain fonts to the printer
before they can be used?
