nextimage errors?

Greetings,

I'm working with NXImage a bit and have been converting some old code from  
2.1 to 3.0.  A rather interesting error came up during running:

DPS client library error: PostScript program error, DPSContext ec248
%%[ Error: rangecheck; OffendingCommand: nextimage ]%%

I can't find any references to nextimage in any of my documentation, and I  
never had an error like this using the app under 2.1.  Anyone have any  
ideas what 'nextimage' does and why I would get this under 3.0 and not  
2.1?
